23/11/02
Dear Pastor and Church,
Greeting in The Name of our Saviour, Christ Jesus,
Firstly, we thank you for your faith and love in supporting our family in Bandung. We received your mission support for Aug to Dec through Pastor Tambunan.
Thank God, In our ministry, some people received Christ, Rumenti, Veronika, Risda, Presdi, Dharma, Grandma Marbun & Yohana. Presdi and Rumenti were baptized. And then Mrs. Lasma, Mrs. Nursyahwati, and Risda obeyed God in Baptism. Some children trust Lord Jesus, Meri, Lisna, Esra, Natal, Pendri, Lia & Eka. They've joined in Sunday School.
In this last three months, our family had health problem. We got chicken pox. Firstly, our son, Hoshea got the chicken pox. After about two weeks, I got the disease. And then after about two weeks again, our baby girl, Hannah (five months) got the chicken pox. Praise The Lord, Hoshea, Hannah, and I recovered, but Hannah still has some scar. My wife, Febrina didn't got it, because she already got, when she's child, so she immune to that disease.
We finish our letter now. Again, we thank you for your faithful prayer and support.
Sincerely in Chirst,
Gunawan, Febrina, Hoshea and Hannah

Dear Pastor and Church,
We thank for your support and prayer to our ministry. We are sorry, for writing
our report late, we should write it at least one-two month ago. For these three
months, we faced many problems. In the end of July until August, we have no
water for a month in our church (and house), because our water well had no water
anymore. In August, we should drill new water well (60 meters depth), and we’d
bought a jet-pump machine. As usual in Indonesia, the owner of a rental building
should pay the expense or at least participate for the half part. The owner of
the building that we have rent, did not want to participate. But never mind, my
God shall supply all my need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Last September, my only motor cycle was burnt, when I tried to start the engine
in a Petrol Pump. Praise the Lord for His protection, I had not been injured, my
cycle did not explode (even though I already filled the tank full by gasoline),
and the gas station had not been burnt. (Before the incident, I just welded my
gas tank, because it was leaking. After the welding shop finished it and said
it’s OK. And when I’m trying, the incident happened.)
Praise the Lord, Suwita, and Popon Rohayani trust Jesus Christ. They are
Sundanese, native tribe of West Java. Sister Lina, Sastra, Antoni, and Erika
also received Lord Jesus as their Savior. After my family and I returned from
North Sumatra (July), in August we’ve started cell-group ministry from house
to house of our member every week. We call that program is KPAD (Kelompok
PendalamanAlkitab dan Doa). Our people are enthusiastic to join and open their
houses. I’ve already trained my co-laborers to lead in the groups. Our goals
in this program are teaching, fellowship and evangelism.
Thank you again for your prayer and support to us. May God bless our ministry.
“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in
you will perform it until the day Jesus Christ.” Philippians 1:6
Sincerely In Christ,
Gunawan, Febrina and Hoshea.
