Pastor and church,
It has been a distinct experience to witness God’s diverse ways of answering prayers. As much as we want a quick positive response, He answered them in so many various ways. At times we received beyond expectation. At other times the manner to respond to His answers is but to joyfully claim Romans 8:28. Here’s an instance of God’s diverse ways.
Mentioned on previous prayer letters was about a request to pray for a property we were hoping the Thai government would grant it to us. God did answer in a way different from what was expected. At first, this lot was contested by no one else but Bangkok Baptist Church. We‘re the only one who submitted application during an open public biding and so we were optimistic about possessing this lot. A year after completing necessary legal requirements, we’ve learned that this property was granted instead to another government agency for their parking space. Not counting the prayers you have put into this, it was not easy for us to see that what we have worked on for quite a time seemed fruitless. Anyhow, God’s promise that everything works together for good remains our comfort.
We will continue to look around for other properties. But for the mean time, to consider where God is guiding us would be of greater importance. Perhaps God says “No” so that we can focus on building peoples’ lives other than building buildings.
These opportunities of serving the Lord thru building lives of others served as our consolation. We thank Him for the chance of molding children’s lives through BBC learning center; and the chance of leading some of them into the saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.
We also count our first church anniversary this October 16, 2005 as an opportunity given us from the Lord. This is an opportunity to declare His goodness to others; an opportunity to thank Him of His good and perfect gifts given upon the members of Bangkok Baptist Church.

Pastor and church,
We gladly bring you greetings from Bangkok. Herewith are results of your prayers for God’s work in reaching the people here in Thailand.
School Opening
Parents of our newly open learning center came to witness a presentation done by their children this last Sunday of June. Though it was just their first two weeks in school, they were able to do a Bible memory verse and render a song that stirred the hearts of everyone. We see gestures of excitement from the parents watching their own sons and daughters perform on a stage. This is with the help of one of our teachers – Sherry who came to help teach the kindergarten. The efforts of starting such learning center paid off with 18 enrolled students mostly present during this first presentation.
Putting up a Christian learning center was not with out harsh resistance. There were families who stop coming to church due some misunderstandings of the intention of the school. We ask your prayers for them. Overlooked was the opportunity of educating the children from God’s word and the chance to introduce the Lord Jesus Christ the earliest stage of these children’s lives. Our consolations were a new family who now attends the church brought about by the school. Another parent, whose sons have no where to enroll for a Christian education, was happy to have one.
Baptism
There was one lady added to the church after her baptism last month. Dolly arrived here in Thailand stranded on her way to Europe for employment. She was one of the many Filipinos trying to find a living abroad but has been taken advantage of. As there have been many people who end up in Thailand wondering for work, the church has been a temporary shelter to many people like her. She eventually came to know the Lord, baptized, found a teaching job and helps the church.
Achan Sakrapee’s Recovery
Our Thai pastor who handles the Thai Sunday School has just been out of the hospital. . He’d been admitted for a week for surgery from a broken ligament in one of his legs. Achan Sakrapee’s physician expected him to recuperate for at least 6 month. Miracle of miracles, he attended the service this Sunday and his presence surprised the whole church. He was able to walk with his cane and he came to thank God for the success of his operation and his fast recovery.
Prayer Request
We are praying for a van to use in hauling children from their homes to the church. May you help pray for the amount to purchase it. Help pray for the learning center staff. Mrs. Badua helps as one of the monitors.
Thank you for the received financial support and prayers.

Dear Pastor and Praying Friends,
A family seminar was conducted lately here at Bangkok Baptist Church. Services were held Wednesday evening, Thursday, and Friday with final sessions on Sunday morning. Pastor and Mrs. Wiese taught from God’s Word concerning relationships those three nights. Some were prompted crucial decisions. Others were reminded about the value of strengthening marriage relationships. Most of us have gone home each night confronted from God’s Word. We give God all the glory for the end results and for the two individuals who professed Jesus as their Lord and Savior after the Sunday morning service.
This past two weeks members came to help assemble chairs and tables which will be use in the BBC learning center. Members volunteered to cut boards and screwed them together as school tables, a much needed fixtures for this newly open learning center. We’re thrilled to see everyone extending help. The twelve children enrolled were excited about their new classroom. Three to five children are expected to join as their parents expressed interest in sending them to us.
Putting up this learning center has long been our desire. With a handful yet expensive Christian schools around, some church members who couldn’t afford high tuitions tried to send their children in a Buddhist school to study. One parent let her daughter stop from school upon learning that Buddhist prayers and rituals were everyday activities. Three kids have not gone to school since. This dilemma of children’s education has driven us to consider a learning center as a ministry of Bangkok Baptist Church. It then becomes our earnest prayer to put up a school that promotes Christian values providing Christian training to future church leaders.
We’re thankful to God for another opportunity of being a witness to Christ in this area. Introducing Christian education would surely introduced Christ and impact lives of the Thai families. This will be an avenue to reach young children, teens and parents with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
We’re thankful to you their partners. We thank you for your partnership in prayer and the chance you allowed us to share once more these prayer lists:
