How do we know if the Bible is true? One test is by the fulfilled predictions it made. Come and witness a breathtaking, panoramic and fascinating multimedia presentation of the prophecies made centuries ago that are unfolding right before our very eyes. Come and understand how: a people scattered for 2,000 years and yet return to their homeland, the completion of a Dam in Turkey, the sealing of a gate in Jerusalem, the breaking up of the Soviet Union, the emergence of China as a world power, etc have to do with the Bible.
THE SIGNS OF THE TIMES ( 2 ) [ 16th of Dec 01 ]
Some 2,000 years back, the disciples of Jesus Christ asked these apocalyptic questions: "Tell us, when shall these things be? And what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?" ( Mt 24:3 ) This study will answer these haunting questions and cover the general prophecies of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ before the world ends.

If God is the Author of the Bible, then matters on science will have to be true. The Bible, written around 2,000 years ago, by some 40 authors from Kings to shepherds, is scientifically accurate to the very details. Fascinating discoveries in these ancient pages reveal that it is years ahead of its time.
It knew that: the earth is round while the world then believed it was flat, the earth is hanging in outer space before the first rocket left for space, there are trillions of stars in outer space when telescope was not yet invented, the atmosphere has weight which man only realized in the last century, the presence of oceanic currents, the existence of bacteria and germs, and the practice of quarantine before modern medical science even have any inkling about it, the Laws of Thermodynamics before physicists knew they ever existed...

The incredible and mind-boggling complexities of living things is the greatest obstacle to the belief that non-living things, over a long period of time, can intelligently organized themselves into the world of living, breathing, reproducing things we see today. It is likened to believing that by leaving timbers, nails and mortar alone, and over a long duration, they would come together and organize themselves into a nice, lovely home. The greatest proof that evolution is an impossibility is the understanding of the concept of "Irreducible Complexity." Simply stated, for a man or cell to exist, all the vital organs of a man and the millions of parts in a cell will have to be present or be in place simultaneously. The most serious and obviously overlooked problem in Evolution is that it demands progression and progression demands that, there was at one time, a semi-developed heart, lung, liver or an imperfect and incomplete immune, digestive or reproductive systems. But, we know that no living creatures will survive for a moment with half a heart, kidney, liver or any of their vital organs. Either they come complete or they die.

IN THE HEART OF A WOMAN [ 6th of Jan 2002 ]
It is said in the Bible that God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam in order to take one of his ribs to make Eve. However, there is no record that God ever woke him up. This probably explains why the average man is ignorant of what truly pleases his wife.
Woman to marriage counselor: "We have a longstanding problem." Man to marriage counselor: "What problems? If my wife wants a washing machine, I buy her one. If she wants a microwave oven, I buy her one. What problems?" Sounds familiar?
This study deals with the intricate makeup of a woman, her secret wishes and longings, her frustrations and inability to communicate and get through to her "sleeping" husband about her deepest needs, her desperate resorts to nagging to meet those needs, her craving for romance and intimacy which is painfully absence after marriage, her longings for verbal assurance that she is still wanted and loved, her feelings of being used and abused in sexual intimacy, the problem of the absent husband and father. Do come and bring along your husband so that things you wish to be said to him will be said to him in a different but better and more refreshing way.
To be happy with a man you must understand him a lot and love him a little. To be happy with a woman you must love her a lot and not try to understand her at all.
IN THE HEART OF A MAN [ 13th of Jan 2002 ]
Before marriage, a man is incomplete. After marriage, he is finished. This is probably how most men feel. He is constantly reminded that he is supposedly to do this or that, or be like this person or that person, or be sensitive to his wife's needs and expectations, to communicate lovingly, et al. But what about his personal needs and aspiration of his marriage?
Most men, after marriage, lost the heart, not the art, to communicate with their wives. And there are reasons for it. The average lady is committed to meeting her own needs and expectations, and very often, is ignorant and insensitive to her husband's real needs. Come and understand what sex, submission, respect, honour, understanding... mean to a man. Come and understand the devastating impacts of a domineering, cantankerous, strong-willed wife and why so many men secretly harbour the thought of some "sweet, submissive little thing" that one day, will hopefully come by his way. Come and understand how a man understands before you lose him.
Son: "How much does it cost to get married, Dad?"
Dad: "I don't know son, I'm still paying for it."
THE FIGHT IS ON [ 20th of Jan 2002 ]
Marriage does not create problems, it simply reveals and magnifies them.
Most couples tend to think naively that they will have a wonderful marriage purely through romance. But romance, like the dust, will eventually settle down, and reality will take over. There will be clashes of values, differences in perception, trivialities that ruin a good relationship, the repetitive conflicts and arguments, the endless responsibilities, demands, imposed accountabilities, unrealistic expectations, the much-dread fights over financial matters... that will inevitably crop up unexpectedly and uninvited. Friendship will lead to Courtship, and Courtship will unavoidably give way to Battleship. There will be the cold wars, the sleepless nights, the regrets, the tears, and the accompanying blame shifting. If only we know what is coming, we will be better prepared for it.
Come and understand the mechanics and demands of the marriage relationship - why and how conflicts develop. This study will deal with the issues pertaining to: the real differences between the genders, the different rules of engagement in conflicts of the sexes, the deficiency in reasoning and communicative skills, the art of negotiation and settlement of differences, the meeting of unfulfilled needs, the wrong preoccupation and focus on self - my happiness and expectations, the misplaced dependency on anger and nagging to change our spouse... and how the timeless and proven principles of the Bible can heal and restore a degenerating relationship.
THE BOND THAT BINDS [ 27th of Jan 2002 ]
A marriage is like a garden. When you work hard at it, it is beautiful. When left alone and neglected, it grows wild with weeds and thorns. Strange to say, romance before marriage is natural, but after marriage, it has to be cultivated. Most couples have a "Dead Sea" marriage - little communication, little romance, nothing exciting, just plain and flat.
This study will focus on the strengthening and enrichment of the marital relationship. The topics covered will include: the right understanding of true love - "Hollywood" Love versus Biblical Love - where true love is an attitude that determines the desired outcomes rather than a helpless, fleeting feeling that is beyond our control; making hay while the sun shines - the needs to understand, communicate and build the fabrics of a relationship during the good times; cultivating intimacy - the bond that binds; the art of communication - can you say what you mean and understand what you hear... woman communicates for feelings while man communicates for facts; the foundation of marriage - where a healthy marriage is built upon the sacred principles of the Bible.
You don't find happiness in marriage; you bring happiness into marriage.
THE DATING GAME OR THE DEADLY GAME [ 3rd of Feb 2002 ]
I saw the twinkle in her eyes... I wonder if it was love or just a pair of shining contact lenses.
Hollywood has influenced and misled many of the younger minds today with the glamour and sensuality of a promiscuous approach to dating. The focus is on: falling in love, getting into bed, and when the thrill is over, to look for another partner. What Hollywood does not show are the pains, the tears, the unwanted pregnancies, the regrettable abortions, the emotional scars, the suicidal tendencies and actual suicides, the "stabbing of the hearts", the "hell"... when a relationship begins on a wrong footing and goes awry.
Do you know what you are looking for in dating - other than the good looks, the nice feelings and the "whispering of sweet nothing"? Do you know what are the pitfalls in dating - are you aware of the dangers of letting your emotions run faster than your intellect? Are you concerned how the relationship will develop and take shape - most couples are more concerned about getting physical rather than knowing, accepting and the eventual living with the "real you"? How do you handle questions like: "If you love me, let's have sex?" Do you know when a girl gives in to pre-marital sex, she loses her mystique and self-respect, and very often, the man, having satisfied his "curiosity", just "move on" to another "untouched and unexplored" lady? Do you have the insight and foresight to prepare for a lasting relationship? Are you dating a "beauty" or a potential "beast"? No couples plan to divorce, but look what happens to the countless of broken marriages today. Being shortsighted, naive and ignorant in our outlook in dating does not pay.
FOR THE LOVE OF THE CHILD [ 10th of Feb 2002 ]
"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." - Proverbs 22:6
Today's parenting is more demanding and challenging than ever. Parents have to reckon with their jobs and increasing stress. Little Johnny is faced with an avalanche of temptations and pleasures unknown by previous generations. There are the Internet, pornography, the Sony Playstation, the ungodly influences from the many sensual and senseless movies, and the comforts and luxuries hitherto not thought to be possible. Coupled with all these is the lamentable lack of good parenting skills. Before you know it, little cute Johnny became the big, ugly, selfish, unruly, disobedient, uncontrollable, heart-breaking monster you never thought would ever exist in your lovely home.
This study deals with the issues of parenting: the need to understand the forces at play in the home; the fine art of discipline and control - most parents would resort to anger and screaming to motivate their kids, but little Johnny is smart enough to test you to your limits; through the eyes and cries of the child - the unspoken love, time, attention and direction they are craving for; building values and characters - the reason why most children cannot behave well is because they have not seen good behaviours, and habits are caught rather than taught; the legitimate use of the rods, the cultivated art of reasoning and reinforcing good behaviours... Daddy and mummy come and understand the dynamics of today's parenting before it is too late.
A child is the parent's second chance, and very often, their last chance, of getting it right.
ADOLESCENCE - THE AGE OF THUNDER & BLUNDER [ 17th of Feb 2002 ]
With the advent of puberty, the desire for independence, the struggle to find a face, the acute awareness of the opposite sex, the search for the purpose and meaning of life, the conflicts of the generation gap, and for many, the plague of inferiority complex, shyness and loneliness. Adolescence can be a scary and insecure age, a painful struggle, a craving for understanding and acceptance, a cry for help, a constant turmoil, and a time to make or break.
This study will lean heavily on: Bridging the Generation Gap - dealing with the misunderstanding and miscommunication in the home, Overcoming Inferiority Complex, loneliness, etc, The Broad Way that leads to destruction - exposing the deceitful and deceptive snares of drugs, fornication, hooliganism, etc, Being yourself - the overcoming of unwholesome peer pressures to conform and the rights to be what God intends you to be, and Straight Thinking & Crooked Thinking - the art of understanding and resolving difficulties.
What you will be tomorrow... you are becoming now.
IN SEARCH OF WHAT [ 24th of Feb 2002 ]
Some people make things happen. Some people watch things happen. But, for the most part, many just don't know what happens.
Why are we here? Where are we going? What is the real meaning and purpose of life? These perennial questions have been asked and "re-asked" by generations. And there are no real answers forthcoming. Apart from God's supernatural revelation to man in the Bible, he will always be in the dark as to these searching questions.
Deep in the heart of every man is the desire and quest to acquire, achieve and accomplish. But to accomplish what and for what purposes are these pursuits for in the light of eternity? Many are just contented to follow the masses in being ignorant and evasive. But, in our quiet moments, in the middle of a restless night, such questions will come back to haunt us - why are we here... Life seems to be nothing more than a repetitive, meaningless routine of working and existing, alternating with the predictable moments of cyclical joy and suffering, the occasional achievements of some personal life goals, which over a period of time, one will discover to his horrors that nobody notices and nobody cares, and after every party, every pleasure, the next day, there is still the same hollow emptiness again. "Vanity of vanities, all is vanity." ( Eccl 1:2 ) And to top it all is the painful awareness that life is ebbing away so quickly. In the twinkling of an eye, some 20, 30... 50, 60 years have slipped by and the twin brothers of Death and the Grave are awaiting us. What is life really all about?
